Elfi Sommer

Elfi Sommer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in pharmaceutical technology and biopharmaceutics. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Technical Operations at IDT Biologika since February 2018, Elfi has held various positions including Group Lead Technology, Process Technologist Senior, and Project and Product Manager. Prior work includes a role as Project Manager at Skinomics GmbH from October 2013 to January 2018, where Elfi managed pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry projects and ensured the preparation of product information and safety assessments. Elfi's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Pharmacy from Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, with a focus on dermal peptide penetration, and experience as a scientist in both the Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmaceutics department and the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at the same institution. Elfi also has prior experience as a pharmaceutical trainee and student assistant, contributing to various research and development projects.
