Operations Supervisor at IEC Holden

Deon Botha has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Deon began their career in 1988 at TRANSNET RAIL ENGINEERING, where they started as an apprentice and eventually became a qualified electrician armature winder. Deon gained experience in winding traction motor armatures and was promoted to team leader of the winding section. After two years, they were elevated to the position of traction supervisor, where they oversaw a team of 16 people. In 2008, Deon joined Acton Repairs as a Traction Winding Foreman, where their responsibilities included planning and achieving results, meeting customer demands, and maintaining quality standards. Deon worked at Acton Repairs until 2015. In the same year, Deon joined IEC Holden as an Operations Supervisor, where they were responsible for manufacturing AC coils and managing AC stator winding. Their tasks included supervising staff, organizing and monitoring work flow, and ensuring job results met expectations. Additionally, they provided coaching, counseling, and discipline to employees. Deon also held the role of Production Supervisor at IEC Holden.

Deon Botha completed their high school education at Goudrif Hoerskool from 1981 to 1987. Deon then pursued further studies at Germiston College where they obtained an N4 degree in Electrical. Additionally, Deon gained knowledge and experience in the field of ISO through their time at Transnet.
