Sathvik Anand Rao is an Engineering Trainee at Cadence since February 2025, and serves as Chapter Secretary for the IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation from April 2024. Sathvik has held leadership roles as Team Head for QuizSoc and as a Student Coordinator with LitSoc DSI since January 2022. Additionally, involvement includes being a Crew Member with both the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) and various IEEE groups since February 2023. An internship as an Engineer Intern at Bosch Rexroth India in October 2023 provided practical experience in Industrial Automation, specifically with relays, PLCs, sensors, and hydraulic systems. Sathvik is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, with a background that includes a High School Diploma from the Central Board of Secondary Education and education at Amanora School in Pune.

IEEE BANGALORE SECTION

IEEE Bangalore was established in 1977 and is one of the most vibrant Sections in India. Over the years, the strength of the section has grown steadily, and currently, the Section membership stands close to 20K members. This membership is spread across various sectors and is a nice blend of Industry, Academia, and Research organizations. Bangalore Section has 29 Society Chapters and two affinity groups. The chapters carry out focused activities in the respective areas by conducting technical talks under DLT, seminars, tutorials, workshops, etc. Apart from the Chapters, two affinity groups, viz. the Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) and Women In Engineering (WIE), also carry out related activities. IEEE Bangalore and IEEE Princeton and Central New Jersey Sections had signed a MoU as sister sections.
