Wei Zhang

Wei Zhang [F’15] received a Ph.D. degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2005. From 2006 to 2007, he was a Postdoc Fellow at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Since 2008, he has been with the University of New South Wales, Sydney, where he is a Professor. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Wireless Communications Letters and as Vice Chair of IEEE Wireless Communications Technical Committee. He was the Vice Director of IEEE ComSoc Asia Pacific Board (APB) in 2016-2017. He served as TPC Co-Chair of various IEEE conferences. He received several awards for his work including 2009 ComSoc APB Outstanding Young Researcher Award and the 2017 ComSoc TCCN Publication Award. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and the IET. He was an IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer in 2016-2017.
