Gregor Polančič

Gregor Polančič is an Associate Professor at the University of Maribor since June 2018, with prior experience as Head of Quality Assessment and Senior Research Fellow at the same institution. Polančič's expertise spans business process modeling, ICT governance, empirical software engineering, and interactive media. Contributions include involvement with the IEEE Task Force on Process Mining, representation at the Slovenian Institute for Standardization, and membership on the Council of the Republic of Slovenia for Higher Education. Polančič has taught as a Visiting Professor at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business and continues to engage in various educational and research initiatives, including participation in the Process Science Initiative at Universität Liechtenstein. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from Univerza v Mariboru, complementing a BSc in Computer Science and earlier training as a computer technician.
