Randy Buchanan

Randy Buchanan is a seasoned professional in engineering and research with extensive experience across various roles and organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Research Analyst and Deputy Director at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center and the Institute for Systems Engineering Research, respectively, Randy is also a Senior Advisor with IEEE, where contributions include leadership positions such as Chair and Vice Chair of the Mississippi Section. Previous roles include significant positions in education, including Director of the Instrumentation and Cryogenics Research Laboratory at The University of Southern Mississippi and a Faculty Fellow at NASA. Randy's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Engineering from Leeds Beckett University, a Master of Science in Physics, a Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and an Associate of Science in Electronics, all from Pittsburg State University.
