Reinaldo Tonkoski

Reinaldo Tonkoski is a Professor and Head of the Chair for Electric Power Transmission and Distribution at the Technical University of Munich, a position held since September 2023. In addition to academic responsibilities, Reinaldo serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Systems Journal and IEEE Access, and is an Editor for IEEE Latin America Transactions and IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy. Previous roles include Robert N. Haskell Power Professor at the University of Maine and Harold C. Hohbach Endowed Professor at South Dakota State University, with academic appointments spanning from Assistant Professor to Visiting Faculty at various institutions, including Sandia National Laboratories. Reinaldo holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Concordia University and has advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering and Control and Automation Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul.
