Stephanie White

Stephanie White is a Senior Professor Emeritus in the Computer Science and Management Engineering Department at Long Island University, serving since January 1999. White has been actively involved with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) since 1995, holding various leadership roles including IEEE Director, Division X (2023-2024), Vice President of Member Services for the IEEE Systems Council (2021-2024), and President of the IEEE Systems Council (2018-2019). Additionally, White contributed to the IEEE Computer Society as a Board of Governors member from 2006 to 2008 and Vice President from 2005 to 2007. Prior engineering experience includes a role as Principal Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation from 1979 to 1999, where White focused on software requirements and architecture in aerospace projects. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Mathematics from New York University.
