Don Broughton, CEM, PMP, is a Senior Emergency Planner at IEM with over 28 years of experience in Emergency Management. Previously, they served as the Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program Coordinator and Deputy Director for the Madison County Emergency Management Agency in Kentucky, along with five years as Chairman of the Madison County Local Emergency Planning Committee. Don has also contributed as the Overarching Task Lead for FEMA’s Technical Assistance Program, overseeing the development and delivery of various programs. A retired Major with over 23 years in the U.S. Army and National Guard, they hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Police Administration from Eastern Kentucky University and are recognized as a Certified Emergency Manager and Project Management Professional. Don resides in Englewood, Florida, and actively participates in several committees with the International Association of Emergency Managers.
