John Moustoukas has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. John is currently serving as the Emergency Department Chairman at Weiss Memorial Hospital since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Emergency Physician at AMITA Health - Adventist starting from 2014. John also served as the Director of Quality and Clinical Informatics at Illinois Emergency Medicine Specialists, and as the Chief Resident at UI Health - University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System. Additionally, they have experience in Health Technology Commercialization at the New Orleans BioInnovation Center.
John Moustoukas obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2006. From 2006 to 2011, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Tulane University. In 2010-2011, they also completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business. In terms of certifications, John obtained a Physician Builder certification from Epic in 2020 and became board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 2015.
