Hope McClelland-Young

Hope McClelland-Young is currently the Associate Vice President of College Relations and Advising at IES Abroad. Based in Portland, Oregon, Hope started as one of the first field-based College Relations Managers for the organization over 23 years ago. Hope’s first international memory was her family hosting a Japanese exchange student when she was four years old. In high school, she visited the Soviet Union and went on to study abroad in Heidelberg, Germany as an undergraduate International Studies/Political Science major. Prior to joining IES Abroad, Hope worked at Rice University supporting pre-professional and major scholarship advisors and then became its first full-time Study Abroad Advisor.
