Monica Vachher is a Director at IES Abroad. Monica has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, working in senior positions at some of the world's leading firms.
Monica started their career at Bear Stearns & Company in 1992, where they worked as a Managing Director. Monica was responsible for working with major corporations across industries on balance sheet optimization, asset sales and asset-backed securities.
In 1995, Monica left Bear Stearns to join UBS, where they were recruited to build a department assisting corporations in diverse industries on balance sheet optimization through asset-backed securities and sales.
After two years at UBS, Monica moved to The Astor Group, a financial security assistance firm that they helped establish. At Astor, Monica worked closely with major Wall Street firms and corporations on innovative products and business management techniques.
Monica has been with IES Abroad since 2001. In their current role as Director, they oversee the company's risk management strategies and programs.
Monica Vachher attended Vassar College, where they earned an AB with Departmental Honors in Political Science. Monica went on to earn a Doctor of Law (JD) from Washington College of Law, and they are certified by the DC Bar in Juris Doctor.
