Chris Varner

Chris Varner, CTS-D, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in audio-visual systems, currently serving as the Technical Director at IES Communications since May 2011. In this role, Chris oversees technical staff and manages programs to support customers nationwide, ensuring compliance with documentation, commissioning, and client standards. Prior experience includes positions as AV Technical Manager and AV Engineer, and responsibilities as Project Manager, Estimator, and Programmer. Before joining IES Communications, Chris worked as an Audio Visual Systems Engineer at TekWorks from July 2005 to May 2011, where custom AV solutions for commercial spaces were developed and managed. Chris began as an AV Installer intern at Sound Image in 2000. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, earned between 2005 and 2008, Chris combines technical expertise with a strong educational background in the industry.
