Alexander Pelov

Co-chair Of The Lpwan Working Group at IETF

Alexander Pelov is an accomplished academic and industry leader specializing in low-power wide-area (LPWA) technologies for Internet of Things applications. Currently serving as a Tenured Associate Professor at IMT Atlantique since July 2023, Alexander has also held the position of Co-chair of the LPWAN Working Group at IETF since October 2016, focusing on enhancing the interoperability of LPWA technologies. As CEO of ACKLIO from March 2016 to October 2023, Alexander worked on unifying LPWA connectivity. Previous roles include Associate Professor at Télécom Bretagne, where research emphasized energy efficiency in ICT, and various lecturer positions at Université de Strasbourg and Université Louis Pasteur. Alexander's educational background includes a PhD in Computer Science from Université de Strasbourg and additional degrees from HEC Paris and Aix-Marseille University, complemented by early career experiences in software development and internships.
