Joseph Chiu-Kit Yee

Joseph Chiu-Kit Yee is a seasoned professional in the field of technology, currently serving as the GDS Technical Services Principal Engineer at ICANN since January 2024. Joseph has been a member of the IETF Applications Area Directorate since March 2010, where responsibilities include document reviews and ensuring appropriate use of technologies related to URIs/IRIs, MIME, XML, and more. Joseph co-chairs the Email Address Internationalization (EAI) working group, which has led to the development of significant email standards. Prior experience includes roles as Technical Account Manager and Senior IDN Developer at Afilias from March 2007 to March 2023, and as a Developer at KnowledgeWorx and Citigroup. Joseph holds a degree from the University of Waterloo, earned between 1997 and 2002.
