Xipeng Xiao

XiPeng Xiao, Ph.D., has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as the Head of Standard & Industry Development in Data Comm at Huawei since September 2006. In this role, responsibilities include engaging with service providers, managing branding events, and defining product strategy. Concurrently, XiPeng serves as Co-Chair of the v6ops Working Group at IETF. Prior to Huawei, positions included Director of Product Line Management at Riverstone, where XiPeng successfully launched a flagship product line leading to a significant acquisition, and Director of Product Management at Redback Networks, advocating for a strategic focus that revitalized the company. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at Photuris and Global Crossing, where XiPeng managed advanced technology initiatives and contributed to the development of the global IP/MPLS network. XiPeng holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Michigan State University.
