Evan Carter

Evan Carter has a strong background in systems engineering and administration. Evan started their career at Setec Security Technologies, where they founded the company and worked until 2008. After that, they joined the Tri-State Transportation Campaign as an IT intern in 2009. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Systems Administrator at Openplans. Evan then moved on to OpenGeo/Boundless, where they served as a Senior Linux Systems Administrator from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they joined SeatGeek as a Senior Systems Engineer and worked there until 2017. Currently, Evan is at IEX, where they first held the position of Senior Systems Engineer from 2017 to 2020. Since November 2020, they have been the Head of Cloud Operations at IEX.

Evan Carter obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Columbia University from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they studied International Relations and Physics at Pitzer College from 1998 to 2000, although no specific degree was mentioned.
