IFA - The Israel Football Association

The Israel Football Association (IFA) is the governing body for all organized football activities in Israel, including around a thousand teams all over the country. Founded in 1928, the IFA has always been a proud FIFA member, and in 1994 was accepted into the ranks of the European football community as a full UEFA member. We are very proud to see our national men’s, women’s, and youth teams – as well as our affiliated clubs – play in international UEFA competitions and represent Israeli sport on the world stage. The Association is responsible for the organization of all domestic football competitions, including league, State Cup, and Toto Cup matches, which add up to hundreds of sporting events every week. In addition, the IFA operates its own disciplinary courts and supports the independent Referees Union. As the leading football authority in Israel, the IFA views its crucial social role as being of the utmost importance. Football is a wonderful way to bring people together, support people and communities in need, and reinforce the core values of sportsmanship, mutual respect and assistance, equality, tolerance, and coexistence, while continuing the fight against racism and violence in all its forms. This is why the IFA has recently increased its involvement in the field of social responsibility, and today plays a major role in dozens of groundbreaking initiatives and activities in cooperation with the Peres Center for Peace, Israel Center for the Blind, Kick It Out, and more.
