Bilash Mitra

Bilash Mitra is a seasoned professional in monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Head/Lead at the International Fertilizer Development Center since February 2024, Bilash focuses on the Design of MEL strategy for a USAID-funded Climate Smart Agriculture Activity. Previous roles include Senior MEL Specialist/Lead at Chemonics International, and MERL Lead/Manager at DAI, where responsibilities involved measuring the effectiveness of digital agriculture tools and improving food security. Bilash has held several significant positions, including Team Leader-MEL at ACDI/VOCA and M&E Manager at the International Rice Research Institute, where key achievements involved developing comprehensive MEL plans and capacity-building initiatives. Bilash holds advanced degrees in Development Studies and Computer Science, along with experience in French language and literature.
