Alessandra Cavalcanti has extensive work experience in the field of psychology and emotional well-being. Alessandra currently works at ifeel, an organization that focuses on emotional well-being for modern organizations. Alessandra holds the role of Emotional Support Specialist and has been with the company since March 2023.

Prior to their current role, Alessandra worked as a Clinical Psychologist at ifeel, starting in May 2021.

Before joining ifeel, Alessandra worked as a Psychologist at SESAP-RN starting in March 2020.

Alessandra's career in psychology began at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte in 2016. Alessandra held the position of Researcher and was involved in applied research on scientific innovation in the context of health in Brazil. Their research primarily focused on the patient's dignity in chronic degenerative illness and developed an inventory for assessing patient dignity in the Brazilian context. Alessandra also conducted research on intensive care and coping strategies used by patients in intensive care units.

In 2014, Alessandra worked as a Resident Psychologist at the Hospital Universitário Onofre Lopes. During their residency, they gained experience in various aspects of psychological intervention in a hospital setting, including patient and family support, outpatient consultations, development of treatment protocols, and communication with the healthcare team. Alessandra also had professional experiences at Hospital Sírio-Libanês and Hospital das Clínicas de Porto Alegre during their residency.

Following this, Alessandra pursued further specialization by completing a Residency Program in Multiprofessional Health, with a focus on Psychology and Health, from 2014 to 2016. Alessandra then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Psychology from the same university, specializing in Health Psychology/Medicine. Alessandra successfully completed their Master's program in 2018. Currently, they are working towards a Doctorate in Psychology, with a focus on the same field of study, at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, expected to be completed in 2022.
