Trena Ellis has a strong background in facilities management and office administration. Trena has held various roles throughout their career, starting with their work as a Project Assistant at RG Construction Consultants from 1994 to 1996. Trena then worked as an Office Manager at CB Richard Ellis from 1996 to 2000, where they managed human resources and performed administrative tasks. From 2000 to 2006, Ellis served as an Office/Facilities Manager at Apple, where they managed office spaces and oversaw administrative operations. Trena then moved on to Pearson Education, where they worked as a Facility Manager from 2006 to 2015, managing office spaces and overseeing back-office operations. In 2015, Ellis joined PowerSchool as a Facilities Manager and later became the Director of Facilities and Real Estate Strategy until 2021. During their time at PowerSchool, they demonstrated change management skills and effectively communicated organizational objectives. Ellis also held various leadership positions in industry organizations, such as the Building Owners and Managers Association International and IFMA. Currently, they serve as the Board Chair for the 80 Watt District (PBID).
Trena Ellis holds a Master Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University, obtained from 2017 to 2018. Trena also holds a Certificate in Green Business Operations from California State University-Sacramento, obtained from 2008 to 2009. In addition, they have a Certificate in Facilities Management from California State University-Sacramento, completed from 2003 to 2004. Trena Ellis has obtained additional certifications including LEED Accredited Professional - Operations and Maintenance from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) in June 2014, and Certified Facility Manager - CFM from IFMA in December 2008.
