Duc-Canh Nguyen has a diverse work experience in the field of perception engineering and robotics. Duc-Canh is currently working as a Senior Perception Engineer at iFollow, where they focus on camera 3D perception for mobile robots, SLAM, mapping, and laser perception. Prior to that, they worked at BALYO as an R&D Senior Perception Engineer and Lead Engineer, where they contributed to the development of perception algorithms. Duc-Canh also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher/Engineer at CEA List, where they conducted research in the field of robotics. Duc-Canh Nguyen holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Human-Robot Interaction from Université Grenoble Alpes. During their Ph.D., they focused on teaching socio-communication for humanoid robots through immersive teleoperation techniques. Duc-Canh also has experience as a Research Assistant at IMS lab and as an R&D System Engineer at Viettel Research and Development Institute.
Duc-Canh Nguyen completed their education in a chronological manner. From 2007 to 2012, they attended Hanoi University of Science and Technology, where they pursued an Engineer's degree in Mechatronics and Robotics. Subsequently, they enrolled at Soongsil University from 2013 to 2015, earning a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Mechatronics. Lastly, from 2015 to 2018, Duc-Canh Nguyen pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Université Grenoble Alpes, specializing in Human Robot Interaction, Robotics, and Computer Science.
