José Mendes Filho

José Mendes Filho's work experience includes a role as the Lead Robotics Software R&D at iFollow since May 2022 and previously as a Robotics Software Engineer at the same company from November 2018 to May 2022. José also worked as a PHD Candidate at CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives from November 2015 to October 2018, where they focused on designing and implementing a new distributed motion planning approach for multi-robot systems. José also worked as a Freelance Bike Messenger at La Ruche qui dit Oui! from January 2018 to July 2018. José served as an Adjunct Professor at ENSTA Paris from October 2016 to April 2018, teaching laboratory classes on programming, algorithms, and computer tools for engineers. José gained internship experience at CEA, Airbus Defence and Space, Czech Technical University in Prague, and CTI Renato Archer in various roles related to robotics, telecommunication, and software development.

José Mendes Filho's education history begins with their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, which they obtained from Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 2009 to 2012. José then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Embedded Systems and Robotics at ENSTA Paris from 2012 to 2015. During this time, they also earned a Master's Degree in Advanced Systems and Robotics from Pierre and Marie Curie University, completing it in the year 2015. José further expanded their academic pursuits by enrolling in the Institut Polytechnique de Paris and successfully completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Robotics from 2016 to 2019.
