Christian Angelberger is a distinguished professional in the field of fluid mechanics and combustion modeling, currently serving as the Scientific Assistant Director for the Engine & Powertrain Systems Division at IFP Energies nouvelles since April 2018. With extensive experience at IFP Energies nouvelles from 1999 to 2017 in various roles including Senior Expert and Project Leader, Christian has specialized in turbulent combustion modeling and engine computational fluid dynamics. Prior to this, Christian contributed as a Research Engineer at CERFACS and completed a PhD on modeling flame-wall interactions in spark-ignition engines during a CIFRE bursary at PSA Peugeot Citroën. The PhD research led to the development of the widely recognized "Angelberger wall-law." Academic qualifications include a Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches and a Doctor of Philosophy from Toulouse INP, as well as a Dipl.-Ing. in Aeronautics & Space from the University of Stuttgart.
