Heather Barclay Hamir

Heather Barclay Hamir Ph.D. is the President and CEO of The Institute for Study Abroad since April 2015, leading a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality study abroad opportunities and support services for North American undergraduates. Previously, Heather served as the Executive Director of Study Abroad at Boston University from April 2014 to March 2015 and as the Director of Study Abroad at The University of Texas at Austin from March 2008 to April 2014. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership in Higher Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, and a Master of Science in College Student Services Administration, both from Oregon State University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English from Pomona College.
