Mick Lord is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance and regulatory operations. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® at IG Wealth Management since October 2014, Mick specializes in strategies for achieving financial independence, tax planning, asset protection and growth, risk management, and wealth preservation. Prior roles include Director of Standards Operations at the Standards Council of Canada, where Mick ensured compliance and strengthened accreditation processes, and various leadership positions at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, overseeing international nuclear safeguards, emergency management programs, and nuclear non-proliferation initiatives. Mick's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of New Brunswick, a Diploma in Meteorology from McGill University, and a Black Belt in Chito-Ryu Karate.
