Angela Ohita Idonije

Born on 7th September, 1966 in Benin city, Edo-State to late Mr. Samuel Idonuagbe and Mrs. Grace Idonuagbe of Akoko - Edo local Government Area of Edo-State. Dr. Mrs Angela Idonije started her primary school education at Holy Cross Primary School, Benin city before proceeding to the Prestigious Federal Government Girls College Akure in Ondo State between 1978 and 1983. She earned a Federal Government Scholarship which saw her through her 5years in the college and obtained her West African School Certificate in 1983. She was admitted into the Bendel State University now Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma Edo state in 1983 and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology in 1987. She did her National Youth Service Corp assignment at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Navy town in Ojo, Lagos between 1987 to 1988. She proceeded to the University of Lagos, and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in 1993. In 2002, she obtained a Diploma in Management and Supervisory skills from London Academy of Administrative Studies. She also obtained a Master Degree in Educational Management from Houdegbe North American University, Cotonou, Republic of Benin in 2006. Dr. Angela Ohita Idonije did not stop there, in 2005 she obtained her PhD in Sociology from Igbinedion University, Okada. She has served various Universities in several capacities including Delta State University, Lagos Study Centre, Ikorodu Road, now Lagos State University as a Registrar between 1997-1999, Houdegbe North American University, Cotonou, Republic of Benin as a Registrar between 2002 and 2005. She assumed duty in Igbinedion University in 2005 and has served in different capacities as a member/secretary in several Committees in the University: Committee on Quality Assurance and Monitoring, Committee on Commencement of New Programs, University Ceremonials Committee, Committee on Inventory of University Properties, Senate Committee on Accreditation, Committee on University Strategic Plan, Committee on Directors Of Academic Planning of Nigerian Universities, Establishment of Research Centres and Programmes, Student Affairs Management Board, E-Examination Committee. She is currently serving in Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State as the Director Of Academic Planning. An outstanding University Administrator who has served in the University system for over two decades and highly experienced in University administration and in academic planning activities which is a major arm enhancing quality assurance and strategic planning of the University. Dr (Mrs) Angela Idonije is a fellow of the Institute of Policy Management Development, fellow Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) (FNIM). She has authored several articles in reputable journals in her area of specialization. Dr. Mrs. Angela Idonije is a devoted Christian, an excellent Communicator, a Relationship builder, Amiable and Result oriented.
