Manuel Locher

Manuel Locher has extensive experience in trademark examination and knowledge transfer within intellectual property. Since July 2011, Manuel Locher has served as the Leiter Sektion Markenprüfung 6 and Teamverantwortlicher "Wissenstransfer" at the Eidgenössisches Institut für Geistiges Eigentum, where responsibilities include organizational and professional coordination of the team and the development and implementation of the knowledge transfer strategy for the trademark department. Prior to this role, from February 2019 to April 2021, Manuel Locher worked at the EUIPO as an Opposition Decision Taker and Trademark Examiner, engaging in drafting decisions and correspondence related to opposition cases and absolute grounds. Earlier career experience includes positions as Fachstellenleiter Aus- und Weiterbildung at Jungwacht Blauring Schweiz and Leiter Kantonale Arbeitstelle at Jungwacht Blauring Kanton Solothurn. Manuel Locher holds a degree from the Université de Fribourg and has completed the SVEB I course in adult education and teaching from the Bundesamt für Sport BASPO.
