Mayra Ameneiros serves as a Senior Fellow at the International Biosecurity and Biosafety Initiative for Science (IBBIS) since February 2024, contributing to the safe advancement of bioscience and biotechnology. In parallel, Ameneiros is involved with the World Health Organization as an Expert in the Health-Security Interface Technical Advisory Group and holds multiple roles with prominent organizations, including committee membership at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, senior advisement at Sandia National Laboratories, and position as an in-country subject-matter expert with Health Security Partners. Ameneiros also holds positions within the Global Health Security Agenda and the iGEM Foundation, among others. Academic credentials include a postgraduate degree in International Security from NPSGlobal, an MSc in transfusion medicine and immunohematology from the Argentine Association of Hemotherapy and Cell Therapy, and a degree in Biochemistry with a biotechnology orientation from the University of Buenos Aires.
