Niti Vanee has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2005 with internships at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Biocon and Jubilant Clinsys. In 2009, they began working at Virginia Commonwealth University as a Graduate Researcher, Research Mentor, Teaching Assistant and Graduate Mentor. In 2011, they were the Executive Board Chair at the Office of Student Conduct & Academic Integrity. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Chief Data Scientist and Data Scientist at Medyear. In 2016, they were also a Post Doctoral Fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University. Finally, in 2020, they were the Co-founder and CEO of iGenomeDx Inc., a Precision Medicine initiative in the Southwest Texas Region, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UT Health San Antonio.
Niti Vanee completed a Summer Course at the NIH Clinical Center in 2013, earning a degree in Clinical and Translational Research. Niti then earned a Ph.D. in Integrative Life Sciences, Systems Biology and Data Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, which they attended from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained an M.S. in Bioinformatics from Virginia Commonwealth University from 2007 to 2009, and a B.Tech. in Biotechnology from Motivational Pathway from 2002 to 2006. Niti also holds four additional certifications, including Epidemiology: The Basic Science of Public Health from Coursera Verified Certificates (obtained in October 2014), Clinical and Translational Research from the National Institutes of Health (obtained in July 2013), and two Entrepreneurship certifications from Wharton Online.
