Afonso Fernandes

Afonso Fernandes is a skilled architect and project manager with extensive experience in urban planning and design. Currently employed at the Institute of Financial Management and Equipments under the Ministry of Justice since June 2021, Afonso is responsible for preparing architectural studies, coordinating outsourcing teams, and supporting tender procedures. Previously, Afonso worked as an architect and city planner at the Department of Urban Planning and Management for Vila Franca de Xira City Council, where responsibilities included preparing technical reports and providing support to citizens and stakeholders. Afonso's career also includes a role as an architect and urban designer with the Department of Municipal Works at Esposende City Council, focusing on public building projects and construction site management. Afonso holds two Master of Architecture degrees in Architecture and Urbanism from Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave and Universidade da Beira Interior.
