Sorena Tiba has a long history of work experience, beginning in 2006 with a role as Recruitment Coordinator at Canada's Wonderland. In 2008, Tiba began working at the University of Waterloo as a Learning Management System Technical Support, Software Troubleshooting Specialist, and Waterloo International Administrative Assistant. In 2009, Tiba took on a role as Health Services Front Desk Associate at the University of Waterloo. In 2012, Tiba moved to Desire2Learn as a Customer Support Team Lead.
