Alan Wu has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades. Alan began their career as a Senior Software Engineer and Development/Marketing Senior Management in various software companies in ShenZhen, China from 1994 to 2001. Alan then worked as a Middleware Senior Consultant and Team Lead at HP Canada from 2001 to 2005. Alan transitioned to Hewlett-Packard, where they served as an Infrastructure and Application Delivery Architect from 2005 to 2007, and later as an Enterprise Architect from 2007 to 2011. Alan continued their career at HPE Canada as a Lead Enterprise Architect from 2011 to 2017. During this time, Alan also engaged in personal research on Blockchain Technologies and developed a deep level understanding of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Blockchain business model implementation. From 2018 to 2020, they co-founded HNB Eco, a company focused on sustainable solutions. Most recently, Alan Wu has been working at DXC Technology as the Leader of Enterprise Architect from 2017 to 2021, and currently holds the position of Director of Enterprise Architecture of Integration and Data at IGM Financial Inc. starting in 2021. In this role, Alan collaborates with business leaders to drive technology innovation, with a specific focus on API-led connectivity and application network architecture, as well as data platform management, governance, and security.
Alan Wu has a strong educational background in computer science and cloud architecture. Alan graduated from Fudan University with a Bachelor's degree in Software and Computer Science. Alan has also completed professional training programs in Microsoft Azure and Splunk platform. In addition to their formal education, they hold multiple certifications in various areas of cloud computing, including Azure Cloud Administrator, Azure DEVOPS Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, Azure Data Scientist, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solution Architect, and Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect. Alan has also obtained the TOGAF® Certification Program from The Open Group. Additionally, they have pursued specialized training in Azure, GCP, and AWS Cloud Architecture, as well as Blockchain Architecture.
