Cynthia Currie

Cynthia Currie is the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for IGM Financial Inc.

In this role, Cynthia provides leadership oversight for the Human Resources and Employee Communications strategies in support of the overall strategic business direction of the IGM Financial group of companies (IG Wealth Management, Mackenzie Investments, Investment Planning Counsel). She partners with the business to deliver a fulfilling experience for all IGM’s people, enabling long-term value for IGM and its shareholders. Cynthia is passionate about creating a high performing talent culture based on leadership capability, resilience, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing. Anticipating and driving change shapes the organization for success today and into the future.

Cynthia has extensive HR experience in the financial services sector, with expertise in managing large, global teams. Throughout her career, she held progressively more senior leadership positions across Canadian and global insurance and financial services organizations. Prior to joining IGM, Cynthia held a number of roles, including leading a Global HR division within a major financial services firm and was the head of HR for a Financial Regulator.

Cynthia holds a BA in Law from Carleton University, in Ottawa, Canada and she holds ICD.D designation from ICD-Rotman, Directors Education Program, March 2022.
