Umberto Grano has held various finance-related roles throughout their career. Umberto began their work experience as a Trainee Chartered Accountant and Auditor at Studio Ballarè Sponghini e Associati from February 2004 to June 2007.
In December 2007, they joined Alfredo Grassi Spa as an Account Receivable, where they were responsible for preparing AR invoices and monthly Intrastat declarations.
From June 2009 to April 2015, Grano worked at Neinver Italia Spa as a Senior Accountant. In this role, they prepared VAT/tax returns, reconciled financial statements, and managed fixed asset books. Umberto also played a key role in streamlining accounting processes.
Starting from April 2015 until December 2017, Grano worked as a Senior Accountant at National Instruments. Their responsibilities included managing accounting functions, monitoring expenses, and preparing financial reports. Umberto also participated in external audit meetings.
Grano then took on the role of Med2 Regional Finance Manager (Italy, Spain & Israel) at National Instruments from January 2018 to August 2019. Umberto managed all financial aspects of the business unit, including debt, disbursements, and budget control. Umberto also established strategic relationships with banks and external consultants.
From September 2019 to October 2022, Grano served as the Group CFO at Vibac Spa, where they oversaw finance activities for the entire Group across Italy, Serbia, and Canada. Their responsibilities included financial forecasting and budgeting, risk management, and analyzing liabilities and investments.
Currently, Grano is the Finance Manager for the Italian subsidiary at IGM Resins, starting from April 2022. In this role, they provide executive-level leadership and oversees all finance-related activities for the subsidiary, including financial forecasting and budgeting.
Umberto Grano's education history includes obtaining a Diploma di Ragioniere from Istituto Tecnico Commerciale "O.F. Mossotti" from 1990 to 1995. Umberto then went on to pursue a Dottore in Economia e Commercio / Master Degree in Business and Administration from Università di Pisa, which they completed from 1996 to 2003, with a focus on Economia. In addition to their academic qualifications, Umberto Grano has also obtained certifications such as "How to Use LinkedIn Learning" from LinkedIn in April 2019 and the "IELTS (Academic)" certification from the British Council in April 2015.
