Alvaro Rodriguez Arregui has over 25 years of experience in the corporate world. Alvaro began their career in 1992 as a Financial Analyst at BANAMEX BANCO NACIONAL DE MÉXICO. In 1995, they became a Consultant at Accion. In 1996, they were an Associate at Violy, Byorum & Partners. From 1998 to 1999, they were the CFO at Unefon and Elektra, respectively. In 2002, they became the CEO of Farmacias Benavides and the Vice Chairman, Chairman of the Board, and Board Member at Banco Compartamos. In 2003, they were the CFO at Vitro. In 2007, they co-founded and became the Managing Partner at IGNIA Partners. In 2020, they became a Senior Lecturer, Executive Fellow, and Visiting Executive at Harvard Business School.

Alvaro Rodriguez Arregui obtained their Economics degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México between 1985 and 1990. Alvaro then went on to obtain their MBA in Finance from Harvard Business School between 1993 and 1995. In 2008, they completed the Young Global Leaders Program at the Harvard Kennedy School. In 2016, they completed the Executive Education program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In August 2020, they obtained the certification in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
