Lorenzo Bottarelli

Lorenzo Bottarelli is an accomplished professional in the field of machine learning and data science, currently serving as the Head of Machine Learning at Ignitia since August 2021, after previously holding the position of Machine Learning Engineer. Prior experience includes a role in R&D Imaging and Data Science at See Through S.r.l from September 2020 to July 2021 and a research fellowship at Università degli Studi di Verona, where Lorenzo contributed to the INTCATCH project. As a PhD candidate, research focused on optimizing information gathering for environmental monitoring applications, covering topics such as machine learning and quantum computing. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, both obtained from Università degli Studi di Verona, complemented by teaching assistant roles spanning various programming and algorithms courses. Lorenzo also gained experience as a visiting PhD student at Delft University of Technology, working in the Pattern Recognition Laboratory.
