Peter Holmes P. Geo.

Peter Holmes, P. Geo., is a seasoned consulting geologist with extensive experience in the mining and exploration sectors. Currently serving at IGO Ltd in the Generative Group since October 2022, Peter previously consulted for the Artisanal Gold Council, where field evaluations of gold mining activities in Guyana and Kenya were conducted. Prior roles include managing projects at IGO Ltd focused on sediment-hosted copper in Greenland, and contributions as Project and Innovation Manager for the Horizon 2020 Smart Exploration initiative. Peter has also held significant positions at Mira Geoscience Ltd, Avannaa Resources Limited, Peregrine Diamonds Limited, and De Beers Canada Inc., where noteworthy achievements include the discovery of multiple diamondiferous kimberlites and the development of various base metal projects. Peter holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Lakehead University.
