IHA
Robert Breakey, MD has extensive work experience in various roles at IHA, a healthcare company. Robert started their career as a Family Physician in June 1985 and later became the Head of IHA Family Medicine Division in June 1995. In January 2006, they were appointed as the IHA Board Chair and held this position until the present. Additionally, they served as the Medical Director for IHA Lifestyle Medicine Institute starting from July 2020. From March 2006 to March 2009, they worked as the IHA Medical Director, Health Plan Relationships.
Outside of IHA, Dr. Breakey served as a Board Member for Plant-based Prevention of Disease starting from February 2018. Robert also became the Chairman of the Board for the PLANT BASED NUTRITION SUPPORT GROUP in July 2019.
Robert Breakey, MD attended the University of Michigan from 1974 to 1981, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Family Medicine. Robert also earned a BGS, MD degree from the University of Michigan Medical School during the same time period. In addition, they obtained the certification of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians in 1985 and became a Diplomat with the American College of Lifestyle Medicine in 2019.
