Alexander Berler

Alexander Berler is a seasoned professional in the field of biomedical engineering and eHealth interoperability, currently serving as the Vice Chair and former Chair of HL7 Hellas since June 2003, promoting HL7 standards in Greece. At Gnomon Informatics SA, Alexander has held the position of Director of Consulting Services since September 2006, leading international projects focused on cross-border healthcare, data privacy, and interoperability. As Strategic Business Development Director at IHE Catalyst and previously as IHE Services Director at IHE-Europe, Alexander has contributed to expanding IHE activities and building partnerships within the European eHealth community. Past roles include Project Manager/Director at Information Society SA and Project Manager at DATAMED SA. Alexander Berler holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Patras and two master's degrees in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, respectively.
