Takeshi Kawakami

Takeshi Kawakami currently serves as Managing Executive Officer and President of the Social Infrastructure & Offshore Facilities Business Area at IHI Corporation, a position held since April 2019. With extensive experience in the infrastructure sector, Takeshi previously held senior roles such as Executive Officer and President at IHI Infrastructure System Co., Ltd. and Director & Project Manager at IHI Infrastructure Systems Co., Ltd. Takeshi's career at IHI also includes management of significant projects, such as the Izmit Bay Crossing Suspension Bridge, along with various engineering and managerial roles across multiple departments. Takeshi holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Tokushima University.
