Carmen Gomez

Principal Process Engineer at IHI E&C International Corporation

Carmen Gomez has over 20 years of experience as a process engineer. Carmen started their career at PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A., where they worked on various projects including the design and commissioning of units in oil refineries. Carmen then moved on to Baker Hughes, a GE company, where they were involved in the start-up and stabilization of units in crude oil upgrader projects. Carmen also worked at Tecnoconsult as a process lead engineer, where they provided engineering services for upstream facilities. Carmen later joined WorleyParsons, where they served as a process engineer and lead engineer on several projects for clients such as BP and Chevron. Most recently, Carmen worked at IHI E&C International Corporation as a principal process engineer.

Carmen Gomez obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Simon Bolivar University, where they studied from 1990 to 1997. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Oil Refinery Engineering at CIED, from 1998 to 1999.
