Skyler Palen

Skyler Palen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. They started their career as a Caster Manager at Barron Equipment Company Inc., where they managed the Caster & Wheel department for seven states. They then joined Cintas as a Management Trainee before moving on to John Deere as an HR Coordinator II. Skyler later worked at IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, first as a Risk Analyst and then as a Portfolio Risk Analyst. In these roles, they analyzed large datasets to improve decision-making and developed strategies to manage risk and improve overall performance. They also worked as an Indirect Lending Data Analyst and, currently, as an Indirect Lending Analyst/Manager at the same company, where they compile, analyze, and monitor a $900 million Indirect vehicle loan portfolio, utilizing predictive analytics and automated underwriting. Throughout their career, Skyler has demonstrated strong analytical skills and expertise in Excel, SQL, and Power BI.

Skyler Palen earned an Associate's Degree in Business from Spoon River College between 2009 and 2011. Following that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from Western Illinois University, which was completed from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, Skyler has acquired two additional certifications: Data Steward from IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union in March 2019, and CUERME from Credit Union National Association in December 2018.
