Iliyan Iliev

Iliyan Iliev has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Iliyan is currently working as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at II-VI Aerospace & Defense since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at N2 Imaging Systems as a Senior Mechanical Engineer from April 2012 to May 2022, where they focused on designing complex optical-mechanical and electronic assemblies for thermal imaging night vision soldier systems. Before that, they worked as a Design Engineer at TricorBraun from January 2010 to April 2012, where they specialized in engineering custom mold designs for packaging bottles and closures. Iliyan also worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Archcom Technology from July 2009 to December 2009, where they designed fixtures, jigs, and tooling for optical assembly manufacturing processes. Additionally, they worked as a Mold Design Engineer at Fairway Injection Molding Systems from April 2007 to July 2009, where they designed precision plastic injection molds. Iliyan also worked as a Mold Design Engineer at Ramko Manufacturing, Inc. from January 2005 to April 2007 and as a Mechanical Engineer at American Eagle Wheel Co. from January 2003 to January 2005. Finally, they worked as a Design Engineer at C.P.C. Inc. - USA from January 1999 to July 2002, where they designed a variety of die-casting molds for aluminum casting in the automobile and consumer product industry.

Iliyan Iliev obtained a Master's Degree in Power Engineering with a specialization in Hydraulic & Pneumatics Automation Systems from the Technical University of Gabrovo. Iliyan completed their studies from 1992 to 1997.
