Tom Tumolillo

Tom Tumolillo, Jr. has extensive experience in the aerospace, defense, and photonics industries. Tom is currently employed as a Principal Program Manager at II-VI Aerospace & Defense, where they are responsible for developing program plans, budgets, and commercialization efforts for aerospace and defense HEL products. In their previous role as Chief Operating Officer at Optonicus, they played a key role in managing the company's operations for six years. Tom has also held positions as Vice President and General Manager at Physical Optics Corporation, Senior Product Line Manager at Luxtera, Inc., and Product Line Manager at EMCORE Fiber Optics. Additionally, they have served as Director of Business Development at AgilOptics, Inc., and held various roles at EOS Technologies, Zia Laser, JDS Uniphase, and Akzo Nobel Photonics. Throughout their career, Tom has demonstrated their expertise in program management, government relations, and product development.

Tom Tumolillo, Jr. holds a Diploma in General Education from SAN DIEGUITO HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMY. Tom earned a B.S. in Physics from Cal Poly Humboldt in 1987, followed by an M.S. in Physics from The University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1989. Tom further pursued their education and completed a Ph.D. in Physics from The University of Alabama in Huntsville between 1989 and 1991. Lastly, they obtained an MBA in International General Management from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in 2000.
