Dilys Roe is a Principal Researcher and Team Leader in Biodiversity at IIED, where they have worked since 1992. Currently, they also serve as Chair of the IUCN Sustainable Use and Livelihoods Specialist Group, a position they have held since 2019. Dilys previously worked as a Consultant Biodiversity Advisor for the UK Department for International Development from 2008 to 2009. They hold a BSc in Rural Environment Studies from the University of London, an MSc in Environmental Management from the University of London External Programme, and a PhD in Biodiversity Conservation and Poverty from the University of Kent.
