Hjort Pedersen

Hjort Pedersen is an investment associate at IIP, where they focus on investing in early-stage tech and life science managers in the US and Europe. Prior to joining IIP, Hjort worked at SEB for 3 years 7 months, where they held positions such as analyst, financial strategy, junior analyst, financial strategy, fund manager, mutual funds, project worker, and mutual funds. During their time at SEB, Hjort was responsible for calculating and reporting key figures in annual reports for more than 100 investment entities with an accumulative AUM of over DKK 60bn. Hjort also established a calculation engine for Implicit Transaction Costs to comply with MiFID II and a new Danish industry standard in preparation of the anticipated PRIIPS regulation.

Hjort Pedersen has a Master of Science (Cand.Merc) from Copenhagen Business School in Economics and Business Administration, which they completed in 2020. Hjort also has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Copenhagen Business School in Business Administration and Organizational Communication, which they completed in 2017. In addition, they attended a summer school at Hawaii Pacific University in 2014. Finally, they have a Higher Commercial Examination (HHX) from Niels Brock in Business, which they completed in 2014.
