Sushobhan Sen

Sushobhan Sen is an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar since December 2022, specializing in transportation and pavement engineering. Prior to this role, Sushobhan served as a Postdoctoral Associate in pavement engineering at the University of Pittsburgh from January 2020 to December 2022, under the mentorship of Dr. Lev Khazanovich. Sushobhan's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Transportation and Highway Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where also served as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant. Research efforts at the University of Illinois included studying the impact of pavement design on urban climate and developing models related to it. A research internship at Technische Universität München focused on the calibration and applications of an image-assisted total station.
