Aman Singhal currently serves as the President of the SPIE Student Chapter at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and has been a Research Scholar at IIT Bombay since January 2021. Prior experience includes a Masters Research Internship at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, focusing on graphene-based microwave absorbing materials, and a Research Assistant role at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, collaborating on a project about gas core nuclear reactors for space missions. Additional internships include a project with the Indian Air Force on viper aero-engine overhaul processes and significant contributions to Team Astral at NASA, where Aman designed models for payloads in international competitions, achieving notable ranks. Aman holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from IIT Bombay and has completed a Master of Technology in Material Science & Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering.
