Atul Sharma

Atul Sharma, FNAE, is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in teaching and research in the field of mechanical engineering. Currently serving as the Rahul Bajaj Chair Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay since June 2004, Atul Sharma has also held the position of Professor within the same department. Prior to this role, Atul Sharma worked as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur from January 1998 to June 2000, and as a Lecturer at the Raipur Institute of Technology from August 1995 to July 1996. Atul Sharma earned a PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, as well as an M.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The academic journey began with a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Raipur.
